Beary bribe

My ever so loving boyfriend bribed me to do the housework.
All for the sake of purchasing this.
Darn you teddies.
Why do you have to be so friggin' adorable?

Okay, plans for today.
Finish up CCS report as soon as possible.
Then study for the Marketing exam.
Wednesday = house cleaning day.

Aaaaand, that's one house cleaning done for the week.
Seven more to go before I get my Baby Honeykins. :D

Have fun being eighteen (:

Happy birthday to you,
You were born in the zoo,
With the -inserts zillions of animals here-~
Happy birthday to Ann! (:

Love you always, sis.
Be good and remember to take good care of yourself now that you're almost an adult.
Sorry for not being there to celebrate your big day.
Will make it up to you when I'm back. (:

Once again, happy eighteen birthday, baby sis! <3
P.S. You present is on the way.

Self-control 101

Result: FAIL

-headdesk-
Why does the first critique seemed so much easier when you have your group-mates to help out?
It's still the same thing, for crying out loud.

My brain does not want to work.
Or rather, it's focusing its attention on creative and unnecessary stuff.
More like I'm already in a holiday-ish mood.
Fooling around tempts me more than assignment does.
Someone help me. D:

I so can't wait to go Victor Harbour.
Just... a... few... more... weeks.

Oh the other hand, I hope that someone remembers to order Domino's for dinner.
I'm sort of craving for thin-crust pizza. :D
Although the Dangerous Mushroom from Australia's Pizza House does sound pretty tempting too.
Yum.

This is so not helping me lose weight eh? --;

A picture paints a thousand words.

Ready to view at least ten thousand? (:

Thanks to my dearest Ray, I had the chance yesterday get out of my little apartment to enjoy the fine weather.

We picked out the package from Malaysia before heading off to Glenelg.
Note to family: DHL spoils surprises. There was a huge paper stuck to the package which read 'Item: Soft toy'.

The Buffalo Restaurant
(back view of the ship)

The first stop was this kind-of-floating-ship/restaurant named Buffalo. This really puts other restaurants with the same concept to shame. Floating restaurants are so cool, especially ones with beautiful view and is built to the shape of a ship. :D

Appetizer and a glimpse of the view

The food was great. Roast of the day for darling & grilled whiting for me. (:
Forgive me for not taking pictures of the main course. My stomache was complaining too much for me to pay attention to the camera.

The ship's deck

Supposingly an anchor that gives luck to whoever touches it
I still have yet to see that luck. (:

While we were walking to Glenelg
The view was too breathtaking to resist

The jetty
And a silly-willy (:

Seriously, the water was actually sparkling =O

Man, I'm so jakun-like. Haha. xD

As for dinner....
(Hope you guys are not viewing this on an empty stomach)

Jack's Special @ Jack's Fish Shop

Next up is dessert.
Man, we were so spoiling ourselves.
We stopped by a random ice-cream shop on the way to the jetty to catch the sunset.
And lookie what we have here. ;D

Combine this...

...with this

And you get a perfect ending to a day out. :D
& to make things even better.

Desert number two.

Natural oysters

Kilpatrick oysters (bacon & yummy sauce)

We decided to do a little grocery as the day draws to an end. And trust me, this was so not expected.
Note to self: Use a basket instead of a trolley!

And to top the cherry on top of the icing.
This is what I found when I got home and opened the package. (:

Nothing spells "We love you" more
than doggies from your family to you
and your boyfriend.

Aaaaaand, there you have it. A perfect day. <3

A taste of sweetness.

Finally, I've handed in most of my dreaded assignments. That leaves me with an analytical essay, a report and one major Marketing exam. Doesn't sound too terrible eh?

Weather's pretty much freezing here as usual. I'm expecting to have a little stroll down the beach tomorrow. It's been such a long time since I've gone to Glenelg, I miss the sight of a beach. Although.. I do hope it's not going to be too cold tomorrow.

And there are so many things on my mind currently. Assignments to be completed, people to worry about and chores to be done. Bah. Who's smart idea is it to come to Adelaide?

*tiny voice in head*
It was your own choice.

Oh.

Anyway, at least I've survived my first semester in SAIBT with quite a few Distinctions. I've never been so proud of myself in my life. This is the first time in my life that I had to actually work hard to achieve something.

*puffs out chest*

And right after my Marketing exam would be an awesome three weeks break. God-knows I really need one after a hectic twelve weeks of study. Some country air will definitely do me good. I so can't wait to see the adorable sheep, ride on a horse, cuddle some baby chicks. -hearthearts-

Ahhh. I'm getting all excited and happy just thinking about those adorable darlings. <3

This self-reflection essay is going nowhere.

Being hugged twice by your marketing lecturer is a nice feeling.
Especially if she tells you that you are a sweet student. (:
I'm going to miss Vivien a lot. She is a great lecturer. The best so far.

Rushing assignments as usual.
I'm such a procrastinator.

And yup, that's going to be all for now. (:

Warning: Strictly not for the faint hearts.

Why do females have to appear as vulnerable and fragile to be seen as a girl?

What happens when a guy meets a girl who can speak up for herself, reads instead of hanging out in night clubs and actually enjoys online games? Are they deemed as a potential buddy or just a tomboy? Why can't people see females as the individuals they are?

Yup, there you have it. May has put on her thinking cap and is pondering all sorts of questions as usual.

Sure, I don't go ga-ga over fashion and make-up as many other XX genes humans do (and the occasional XY as well) and I don't stand around to wait for the latest news of who is the latest overrated celebrity. But that does not mean that I should not be labelled as a girl as well.

What actually makes a guy look at a girl and go "Now, there's a girl worth talking to"? Is it the miniskirt she puts on or the shade of lipstick she uses? Or the lifestyle she has that involves night clubs and gossip magazines?

What exactly has changed? Why don't I seem to be able to carry out this female image I had of myself? Seems like I'm trying to be someone that I can never be.

I want to feel safe and secure. I want to be protected. For someone to be protective over me, that's the feeling I've been craving for. I'm tired of this jealous phrase that I seem to be encountering. Feeling extremely unsatisfied that it's going nowhere.

*yawn*

I guess I should just crawl back onto my safe haven for now. Just push all those thoughts aside and just pretend to be someone I'm not. It always works for me.

Not if I don't finish up the three assignments that are currently sitting in my folder screaming, "Do you want your Distinction?!"

Pft.

Car park scenario.

Scenario of two people who has not been grocery shopping for two weeks.

*Car slows down at the exit counter and Ray's hand reaches for the ticket.*
*May grabs her wallet and proceeds to take out some coins.*

"Wait wait, my wallet is heavier. I have more coins in my wallet."
*Right hand reaches for wallet. Suddenly Ray pauses half-way.*
"It's Sunday today lah."
"Oh, right."

Trust two silly geese to forget that Sunday is a free-parking day.

Chocolate-coated... rats?

Watching my baby rats trying to drag a huge piece of potato from the top of their cage down to their 'dining' area will certainly bring laughter to a person. How could anyone, or animal for that fact, be so silly and look so natural at the same time?

And someone has been extremely terrible to these darlings. Imagine pouring chocolate onto their fur and expecting them to lick themselves clean. Pft, guess it's time to call the RSPCA and report that person for animal abuse by overdosing them on chocolate.

Unfortunately, no photos of them dragging the potato or drenched in chocolate is available. But I do have one photo of them snuggling up together. :D

Cute little buggers, aren't they? (:

Anyway, moving on. Weather has been pretty weird lately. The past week have been nice and sunny while yesterday and today has been raining heavily. And I really mean heavily. Brr. I think I might be getting used to the cold weather though. Have not been freezing as much as I usually would.

Ah, I think it's raining again.

I love how there's no lightning and thunder even though it hails here, unlike Malaysia where I would be crawling underneath the blanket and hoping that the thunder does not cause me to be deaf.

Hm. Trust my sis to be MIA the entire day. I want to find out about how her day went. Sucks to be all the way in Australia and missing your sister's first day in college. =<

Guess I'd better get back to my self-reflection essay, although I have no idea what am I going to write in there. Got struck by writer's block as usual. Bah.
